Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 12, 2026 · Last updated: June 22, 2026
The short version. The Streamza Android app has no accounts and runs almost entirely on your device — we don't collect your name, email, location or contacts, and your stream goes directly from your device to the platform you choose. Our website's Web Studio is a hosted service: to use it we collect your email and briefly store the video you upload so our server can stream it for you (it's deleted when the stream ends). Details below. We don't sell your data and we don't use advertising trackers.
This Privacy Policy explains how the Streamza mobile application (the “App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use it. By using the App, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Who we are
Streamza is a live streaming and screen recording application for Android, published by Probros, based in Punjab, Pakistan (“the developer”). For privacy questions, contact us at probrostraders@gmail.com. For users in the EEA/UK, the developer is the data controller for the limited processing described below.
2. Information we collect
Streamza is designed to minimize data collection. The information involved falls into these categories:
Information stored only on your device
- Stream credentials — the RTMP/RTMPS server URL and stream key you enter are stored locally on your device so you don't have to re-type them. They are not transmitted to us.
- App settings & preferences — your chosen resolution, bitrate, frame rate, audio options and similar preferences are stored locally on your device.
- Your recordings — screen/camera recordings you create are saved to your device's storage (gallery). We have no access to them.
Information processed to provide the core service
- Camera, microphone and screen content — when you stream or record, the App captures audio/video from your camera, microphone and/or screen. This content is encoded on your device and sent directly to the streaming platform you select (e.g., YouTube, Twitch), or written to a local file. It is never routed through or stored on our servers.
- Network speed test — if you tap “Upload Speed Test”, the App uploads a small block of test data to a third-party measurement endpoint (Cloudflare) to estimate your connection speed. No personal content is included.
Subscriptions & purchases
- Subscription / purchase data — if you start a free trial or buy a Streamza Pro subscription, the transaction is handled entirely by Google Play Billing. Google processes a purchase token to confirm and renew your subscription; the App reads that token only to unlock Pro features on your device. We do not receive or store your payment details — your card and Google account information are handled by Google, not by us.
Streamza Web Studio (our website, streamza.live)
Separately from the app, our website offers Web Studio — a hosted tool where you upload a video and we stream it to your chosen platform from our server. When you use Web Studio we process:
- Your email address — required to claim a streaming slot. We use it to give you access, remind you when your trial/slot is ending, and occasionally tell you about the service. It is stored on our server and is never sold.
- The video you upload — temporarily stored on our server only to relay it to the RTMP destination you provide. It is automatically deleted when your stream stops or expires (and on server restart). We do not watch, share, or keep your video.
- Your RTMP URL & stream key — used only to connect your broadcast for that session; not stored after the slot ends.
Unlike the app (which streams directly from your device), Web Studio runs the broadcast on our server, so it keeps going after you close your browser.
3. What we do not collect
- The app does not require an account and does not collect your name, email, phone number or password. (The website's Web Studio collects only your email — see section 2.)
- We do not collect your precise or coarse location.
- We do not access your contacts, calendar, messages or call logs.
- We do not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs, and we do not sell or “share” your personal information for advertising.
- We do not upload, view or store your stream content or recordings on our servers.
4. Device permissions
The App asks for permissions only to provide its features. You can grant or revoke these in your device settings; some features won't work without them.
| Permission | Why it is used |
|---|---|
| Camera | To capture live camera video for streaming/recording. Used only while you are streaming or recording. |
| Microphone | To capture audio for your stream/recording. |
| Screen capture (Media Projection) | To record or stream your device screen, with your explicit per-session consent shown by Android. |
| Photos/Media & Storage | To save recordings to your gallery and to let you pick a video file to stream. |
| Notifications | To show the required ongoing notification while a stream/recording is active. |
| Display over other apps | To show floating recording controls over other apps while you record (optional). |
| Foreground service | To keep your stream/recording running reliably while the screen is on or you switch apps. |
| Network/Internet | To deliver your stream to your chosen platform and to run the optional speed test. |
5. How information is used
- To deliver your live stream to the platform you choose.
- To create and save your recordings on your device.
- To remember your settings and stream credentials between sessions (on your device).
- To estimate your connection speed when you request it.
- To verify and manage a PRO subscription, if you purchase one.
6. Third-party services
We keep third-party services to a minimum. The services that may receive data are:
- Your chosen streaming platform (e.g., YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, Kick, Restream, or a Custom RTMP server). When you go live, your audio/video is sent to that platform and is subject to their privacy policy and terms. We are not affiliated with these platforms.
- Cloudflare — used solely as the endpoint for the optional upload-speed test. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
- Google Play Billing — processes and renews subscription purchases. See the Google Privacy Policy.
- Our hosting (Web Studio only) — the Web Studio runs on an Oracle Cloud server with DNS through Cloudflare. Your uploaded video, email and stream details pass through this infrastructure to provide the service.
7. Storage & retention
Because your settings, stream credentials and recordings are stored locally, they remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App. Subscription records held by Google are retained according to Google's policies for as long as needed to manage your subscription and meet legal obligations.
Web Studio: videos you upload are deleted as soon as your stream stops or expires (and on server restart). The email you provide is kept until you ask us to remove it — email probrostraders@gmail.com and we'll delete it.
8. Deleting your data
You are always in control of the on-device data:
- Clear app data in Android Settings → Apps → Streamza → Storage → “Clear data” to remove saved settings and stream credentials.
- Uninstall the App to remove all of its locally stored data.
- Delete individual recordings from your device gallery at any time.
For any subscription-related data, or to make a deletion request, see our Data Deletion page or email probrostraders@gmail.com.
9. Children's privacy
Streamza is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data:
- EEA/UK (GDPR): rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, and data portability. Our legal basis for the limited processing above is performing the service you request (Art. 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in operating the App (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- California (CCPA/CPRA): rights to know, delete, correct, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information.
Because we hold almost no personal data, most requests can be fulfilled by clearing app data or uninstalling. To exercise any right, email probrostraders@gmail.com.
11. Security
Your stream credentials and settings are stored in the App's private storage on your device. Live streams are sent using the RTMP/RTMPS protocol provided by your platform (RTMPS is encrypted; some platforms also offer plain RTMP). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the limited data the App handles.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide notice within the App or on this website. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
